Alabama Block Party (by Julian)

This Saturday I got to attend my first Alabama Ave. Block Party!

There were lots of games for the kids to play: Street hockey, some strange version of Jenga invented by Myles and Asher that I’ve never seen before, and the Shaving Cream Cheese Puff Toss, where you throw cheese puffs at your opponents shaving cream-covered head and whoever gets the most stuck wins.

Of course there was cornhole for the big guys.

I wasn’t old enough yet to play, but hopefully in a year or two I can join in!

I couldn’t play the games, but my neighbor Cara and I had a great time chasing and popping bubbles. She’s intense, but that’s good because so am I.

I also got to hang with my one of my favorite neighbors, Toni. She always stops by on her walks to say hi, bring me gifts, and bring my parents food. She’s the best.

And then, when I didn’t think that things could get any better, my lady friend Ezra came by and we got to hang out! She’s older than me, so I watch her to learn things.

What a day! I’m thankful to have such great neighbors.
