Out in Dormont with Live Music, Fall 2022

The Dormont Community Development Corporation organizes these events at Hillsdale Park on Saturdays during the summer and fall.

A group of people who live in a condominium on Hillsdale Ave. in Dormont host this concert series throughout the summers called “Live from the Parking Pad.” They host a local artist, pass around a bucket for admission fees, and serve food, and everyone hangs out in the backyard listening to the music. It’s such a cool thing to have in our neighborhood.

On this Saturday, we saw Al from “Al & Al.” (I guess the other Al was missing.) in this video, he is covering “Back on the Train” by Phish.

They have three stages on Potomac Ave. with live music, vendors, community groups, and other types of entertainment. We were only able to go during the early afternoon hours because we had a wedding that night. We missed most of the action on the three stages. Still, what we saw was better than nothing—Another reason to love Dormont.
