Weekend in AZ #3: Montezuma Castle
This place was so cool to me. Montezuma Castle is cliff dwelling ruins of the Sinagua People, Native Americans who lived in the Sedona region between 500 and 1425 CE (Common Era—same as AD). The castle is a national monument. The park refers to the castle as a “20 room, high-rise apartment.” If you continue driving south from Sedona towards Phoenix, the park is right off of Route 17.
