Halloween, 1998?

The year 1998 is a guess. I don't know what year this photo was taken, but definitely late 90's, Park Ridge, IL.

Here I am with my friend Steven. We both loved the White Sox. It looks like I dressed up as Frank Thomas. I can't tell what player he dressed as.

Even after my family moved away from Chicago to Connecticut, Steven and I kept in touch as pen pals. We had always connected through baseball, so I remember that we would type up and send each other our seasonal predictions (final division standings, playoff series winners, and World series winners) at the beginning of every new Major League Baseball season. I remember that we also thought it was funny to make up and address each other with silly nicknames, like "Stinky Steven" or "Wet Willy," for example, on our mail envelopes, thinking it would be funny when the mail carriers would read them... Ha... The joys of childhood.
